Gargano: Dream holidays in your seaside resort
The
Camping Villaggio Bellariva is an excellent starting point from which to enjoy your
holiday in the Gargano. Close by is
Vico del Gargano, hometown of San Valentino and gateway to the
Foresta Umbra (about 11,000 hectares of forests and woodlands), and
nature excursions in the Gargano. Not far from this
seaside resort at Peschici, you can take a ferry to visit the
Tremiti Islands where boat trips take you to see the seacaves around the islands and divers can admire the nearby underwater statue of
Padre Pio. The Gargano promontory is also known as the Holy Mountain due to the numerous sacred sites and monuments to be visited like
Monte Sant’Angelo (and the grotta-church of Arcangelo San Michele) and
San Giovanni Rotondo (and the tomb of Padre Pio).
